Raised in wealth and finery, Muṣʿab (ra) embraced Islam and bore his family's rejection and the loss of all comfort with patience. The Prophet ﷺ sent him ahead to Yathrib (Madinah) as the first teacher and caller to Islam.
Through his gentle, wise teaching many of the Anṣār accepted Islam, preparing the city for the Hijrah. He was martyred at Uḥud carrying the banner, remembered as a model of sincerity.
