Makkah → Madinah
Commanded to migrate, the Prophet ﷺ left Makkah with Abū Bakr, sheltering in the Cave of Thawr as Quraysh searched in vain, then completing the journey to Madinah.
There he built the first mosque, established brotherhood between the Muhājirūn and Anṣār, and laid the foundation of a just community. The event marks year one of the Islamic calendar.
