ʿĀʾishah bint Abī Bakr

Daughter of Abū Bakr (ra), ʿĀʾishah (ra) was deeply intelligent and devoted to learning. Living in the Prophet's ﷺ household, she witnessed and preserved an immense body of his teachings, especially the private Sunnah of the home and worship.

After the Prophet's ﷺ passing she became a leading teacher and jurist whom the senior Companions consulted; she narrated over two thousand hadith and shaped the understanding of the religion for generations.
