Khadījah bint Khuwaylid

A noble and successful merchant of Makkah, Khadījah (ra) recognised the trustworthiness of the Prophet ﷺ and proposed marriage. She was the first human being to believe in his message, reassuring and supporting him after the first revelation when he was shaken.

For about a quarter of a century she was his closest support, bearing his children and standing by him through the hardest years of persecution. The Prophet ﷺ never forgot her loyalty, and Allah conveyed greetings of peace to her.
