Ḥafṣa bint ʿUmar

Ḥafṣa (ra), daughter of ʿUmar ibn al-Khaṭṭāb, was known for her devotion, fasting much and praying through the night.

The first complete written compilation of the Qur'an, gathered in the time of Abū Bakr (ra), was kept in her safekeeping, and from it the standard copies were later made.
