Al-Masad

تَبَّتْ يَدَآ أَبِى لَهَبٍۢ وَتَبَّ١

111:1May the hands of Abu Lahab be ruined, and ruined is he.

مَآ أَغْنَىٰ عَنْهُ مَالُهُۥ وَمَا كَسَبَ٢

111:2His wealth will not avail him or that which he gained.

سَيَصْلَىٰ نَارًۭا ذَاتَ لَهَبٍۢ٣

111:3He will [enter to] burn in a Fire of [blazing] flame

وَٱمْرَأَتُهُۥ حَمَّالَةَ ٱلْحَطَبِ٤

111:4And his wife [as well] - the carrier of firewood.

فِى جِيدِهَا حَبْلٌۭ مِّن مَّسَدٍۭ٥

111:5Around her neck is a rope of [twisted] fiber.
