Mukhtasar minhaj al-qasidin - Towards the hereafter
Abridged version of Ghazali's Ihya ulum al-din. The cover page says the abridgement was done by Ibn Qudamat al-Maqdisi (+1223), a Hanbali in jurisprudence, an Asharite in creed and a sufi of the Qadiriyya. Ibn Qudamah was formally invested with the authority to initiate his own disciples into the Qadiri order. According to some classical Sufi chains, one of his disciples was his nephew Ibn Abi Umar Qudamah (+1283), who later bestowed the khirqa upon Ibn Taymiyya, who, as many recent academic studies have shown, actually appears to have been a devoted follower of the Qadiri order in his own right, despite his criticisms of several of the most widespread, orthodox Sufi practices of his day.In the preface, however, th Source: Internet Archive · eng_mukhtasar_minhaj_al-qasidin
