The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) used to teach us the Qur’an in every state, except when he was in a state of Janābah (major ritual impurity)
‘Ali (may Allah be pleased with him) reported: The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) used to teach us the Qur’an in every state, except when he was in a state of Janābah (major ritual impurity).
Explanation
The Prophet (ﷺ) used to teach and recite the Qur’an to his Companions in all conditions, except when he was in a state of Janābah due to marital relations with his wives.
Benefits
- It is impermissible for one in a state of Janābah to recite the Qur’an until he makes Ghusl (ritual bath).
- Teaching by actions.
