Indeed you possess two traits that Allah loves: prudence and deliberation
Authenticعَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ رَضيَ اللهُ عنهما قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ لِلْأَشَجِّ أَشَجِّ عَبْدِ الْقَيْسِ: «إِنَّ فِيكَ خَصْلَتَيْنِ يُحِبُّهُمَا اللهُ: الْحِلْمُ، وَالْأَنَاةُ».
Ibn ‘Abbās (may Allah be pleased with him and his father) reported: The Messenger of Allah (may Allah's peace and blessings be upon him) said to Al-Ashajj, Ashajj ‘Abdul-Qays: "Indeed you possess two traits that Allah loves: prudence and deliberation."
Explanation
The Prophet (may Allah's peace and blessings be upon him) said to Al-Mundhir ibn ‘Ā’idh, known as Al-Ashajj of the tribe of ‘Abdul-Qays and its leader (may Allah be pleased with him): Indeed, you possess two traits that Allah loves: reason, calm deliberation, sobriety, and avoiding haste.
